About me
Kingstreasurehouse Concept...Bringing to Limelight the Royal & Divine Treasures In you.My Name is Agu, Jaachynma Nkemdirim E. I was formerly known and addressed as Jaachynma Ezinwa Iheanacho. I was born into a family of Six children and I am the fifth child and the last daughter.
Growing up was quite fun with elder siblings and my little brother-who is now a pastor. I began dressing like a boy because my brother was complaining that he was the only one not wearing skirts or gown so I had to start wearing shorts and trousers to make him feel better. I almost grew up a tom boy as a result of that but God helped me.
ACADEMIC:
I attended a Government primary school and a mission secondary school. It was during my secondary school education that I discovered I have flair for writing. I remember very well my mom teasing me one of those days. She said "if the biro producers/marketers know how often you use biro, they will sell it to at a higher rate than they sell to other users"
I was always writing, scribbling one thing or the other. I was always carrying writing materials so I won't lack anything when the need arises.
Among my subjects in school, I had wonderful flair and interest in English language, French language and Literature in English. However, during my senior secondary, I was asked to go in for Science courses which I reluctantly accepted, somewhere along the line it dawned on everybody that I was art inclined not science, I was moved back to Arts class where I truly belong.
I gained admission into the university of Jos to study French Linguistics (combine Honour Course). It was there I had my first write-up published in Hints Magazines. I remember the then editor of Hints Magazine Kayode Ajala wrote an article titled "I shall be the president of this country" I read through the article and sent a rejoinder which was published in subsequent edition. The volume of letters I got as a result of that singular article proved to me that I really belong in the literary world.
However, something else happened that doused my enthusiasm till late last two years (2008) when it was rekindled. After my graduation from the university, I was posted to Taraba State, one of the Northern State in Nigeria for my Youth Service. There I met the guy who later became my husband: Dr. Agu Ahamefula.
I wrote a story about a young lady, the story line sounded like I was writing my autobiography but it was not completely true as I added lots of other stuffs that had nothing to do with my life. At the end of the day, I gave my friend and fiancรฉ (now spouse) the story to read and edit. Guess what? He thought I had written about myself and based on the content of the book we had a serious clash that almost tore the relationship apart, at this juncture, I rested my pen - refused to write again. '
Several years later, after we had gotten married, he started nudging me to go back to my calling; He has come to realize that I was meant to write. He nudged me, encouraged me, prayed for me, always telling me of this and that young writer until I picked up my pen again and this time my popular book:
THE PRINCE AND THE PAUPER was born. With the successful delivery of the Prince and the Pauper, other works began to emerge, some of them still under construction but will be completed soon. The interest came back with the encouragement of the same person who almost made me loose it years back. Isn't that lovely?
We have been married for 5 blissful years now and it keeps getting better. We are blessed with a wonderful son who is the Cynosure of all eyes and the darling of all hearts. His sibling is on the way.
The journey has been so enthralling all the way.
